ABOUT
RICHARD MOORE
National D License Coach | Elite individual & small group specialist
I started kicking the ball at an early age and began playing club soccer at age 8. My club experience includes playing for local travel teams Wave FC, Emerald Coast United, FC Dallas EC and the Gulf Coast Texans. I participated in the Bolton Wanderers International Grand Skills Final 2012 and I was twice selected Florida Region D ODP player pool 1998 boys. I trained in England with Gordon Hill Academy in 2015 and was invited to the Chesterfield Academy, but unfortunately I was not eligible for a visa. In 2016 I went to D2 Belmont Abbey College but injuries cut my playing time there short and I decided not to return. In 2019 I traveled to Guatemala after I was invited to tryout for the men’s national team.
I currently have a USSF D license as well as the 7v7 and 11v11 Grassroots licenses. My coaching experience includes U9, U12, U13, U13-U16 club technical director, 4v4 teams and middle school. Prior to coaching I was a USSF grade 8 referee for 7 years and participated in the Area D Referee Academy.
I aspire to achieve my USSF A License and then begin work on UEFA licensing. This for me isn’t a job, but it’s my passion and something that I love.
“My top priorities are to make every player technically sound and confident on the ball. I would put first touch as one of the main things a player needs to be a top-level soccer player. We structure a specific, personalized training session for each individual player or group. These sessions focus on game-related scenarios, at high game level intensity for better player development.” - Richard Moore
